Jeg er interessert i andrespråkstilegnelse, spesielt i vokabulartilegnelse og lesing på et andrespråk. Forskningen min har hovedsakelig fokusert på tilegnelse av engelsk i Norge, og om det å lære engelsk gjennom uformelle aktiviteter utenfor klasserommet som å se film og spille dataspill har betydning for hvor godt norske studenter er forberedt på å lese akademiske tekster på engelsk ved universitetet. Jeg er også interessert i språkpraksis i høyere utdanning generelt.
