Espen Storli
Om
Espen Storli er professor i historie ved Institutt for moderne samfunnshistorie, NTNU. Han ble utdannet i Stavanger, Bergen, York, Valladolid og Trondheim og fullførte sin doktorgrad ved NTNU i 2010. I 2011-2012 var han Harvard-Newcomen Fellow i business history ved Harvard Business School.
Hans forskning er konsentrert om økonomisk-historiske emner med spesiell vekt på utviklingen av internasjonal handel og næringsliv i det 20. århundre. Han arbeider nå spesielt med prosjektet ”The hidden companies of the global economy: the development of international commodity traders, 1945-2015”, et prosjekt som er finansiert gjennom universitetene og Norges Forskningsråds Fellesløft for unge forskertalenter. Sammen med Dr. Andrew Perchard (Coventry University) og Dr. Mats Ingulstad ( NTNU) har han etablert History and Strategic Raw Materials Initiative, et tverrfaglig internasjonalt nettverk som arbeider med spørsmål relatert til strategiske råvarer.
