Eg har bakgrunn frå SINTEF Konstruksjonsteknikk (1992-1996), Statoil Forskningssenter på Rotvoll (1997-2000) og Rolls-Royce Marine, dep. Ship Technology (2001-2007) før eg tok til med undervisning av skipsingeniører ved Høgskolen i Ålesund (HiÅ) hausten 2007. I 2016 vart HiÅ fusjonert inn i NTNU og eg heldt fram med dei samme arbeidsoppgåvene.
