Ansvarsområder

Gabriele Lobaccaro er førsteamanuensis i Institutt for bygg- og miljøteknikk ved NTNU, Fakultet for ingeniørvitenskap . Han er medlem av Smart Cities @ NTNU siden 2013 og hans hovedoppgaver er knyttet til forskningsaktiviteter for å utvikle tekniske oppløsninger og miljøstrategier for urban planlegging og bærekraftig arkitektur.

Kompetanse

Hans forskningsaktivitet er i hovedsak fokusert på bærekraftig utvikling, fornybar energi og smart strategier for byer og nabolag, med formål å utvikle arkitektoniske utforming og urbane designløsninger for smarte, energieffektive og klimarobuste byer (for eksempel EERA Joint Programme Smart Cities, FP7- finansierte RAMSES «Climate change adaptation, mitigation and sustainable development in cities», CoSSMic «Collaborating Smart Solar-powered Microgrids» og IEA SHC Task 51 «Solar energy in urban planning»). Han er en co-leder av Subtask C «Case studies and action research» innen Solar Heating and Cooling Programme International Energy Agency Task 51 «Solar Energy in Urban Planning». Han er medlem av IEA SHC "Solar Neighborhood Planning" and av COST Action PEARL PV (CA16235) “Performance and Reliability of Photovoltaic Systems: Evaluations of Large-Scale Monitoring Data”

Bakgrunn

Gabriele er en arkitektonisk bygningsingeniør som arbeider med byplanlegging, energi bygninger og arkitektonisk utforming med bruk av dynamiske simulerings programmer og miljøanalyser. I 2008 graduerte han i Msc Building Engineering and Architecture fra Politecnico di Milano, Italia. Han studerte hans PhD i bygning ingeniørkunst delvis i Italia fra Politecnico di Milano og delvis i Sydney, Australia, fra universitet UNSW University of New South Wales på temaet «Solar Potential and Microscale Climate Interactions in Urban Areas». Fra 2013 er han Postdoktor på NTNU. Mellom oktober 2017 og juli 2020 var han forsker ved Institutt for Arkitektur og Teknologi, Fakultet for Arkitektur og Design ved NTNU. I august 2020, begynte han som førsteamanuensis ved Institutt for Bygg- og Miljøteknikk, Fakultet for Ingenørvitenskap.

Utnevnelser og priser
