Beyond Labels
In this project we aim to understand the ways in which institutional arrangements and patterns of interaction can better cultivate inclusion. Departing from existing literature on understandings of how exclusion works on micro-level (micro-aggressions etc.), Beyond Labels seek to develop insight into how the dynamics of inclusion work on micro-level. This is to date an understudied aspect of human interaction. The project is methodologically grounded in both critical social science research and the emerging scientific discipline of micro-phenomenology, which builds on the assumption that it is possible to uncover the ordinarily inaccessible dimensions of our lived experience through scientific investigation (Petitmengin et al. 2019).
