Henrique Gaspar er professor ved Institutt for havromsoperasjoner og byggteknikk (IHB), Fakultet for ingeniørvitenskap (IV), NTNU. Han har doktorgrad (PhD) i marinteknikk fra NTNU, med deler av forskningen utført ved Systems Engineering Advancement Research Initiative (SEAri) ved MIT (USA), samt master- og diplomgrad i skipsteknikk og marinteknikk fra Universitetet i São Paulo (Brasil). Han leder EU Horizon-prosjektet SEUS – Smart European Shipbuilding og er tilknyttet Norwegian Maritime AI Centre, blant andre nasjonale og internasjonale prosjekter.
