På K.G. Jebsen-senter for genetisk epidemiologi forsker jeg på sammenhenger mellom genetikk, proteomikk, mikrobiota og ulike fenotyper, spesielt beinmassetetthet, beinbrudd og osteoporose. Dette er basert på data fra Helseundersøkelsen i Trøndelag (HUNT) og andre befolkningsbaserte undersøkelser, samt diagnosedata fra sykehus og helseregistre. Jeg er også involvert i forskning på mutasjoner og genuttrykk i kreft, spesielt myelomatose.
Min bakgrunn er fra matematikk og bioinformatikk. Jeg er også involvert i kjernefasiliteten for bioinformatikk og i Elixir, infrastrukturnettverket for bioinformatikk.
