Faglig innhold

The master’s thesis is an in-depth study on a high level involving music technology in artistic performance/production, scientific research, or pedagogical/methodological application. The thesis is normally an individual work, but can also be done in groups. In this case, the thesis needs to clarify the individual contributions of each student, and the amount of work for each student has to correspond to one year of study.

Mer om vurdering

The type of examination will be decided when the theme and form of the in-depth study is agreed upon.

As the master’s thesis can take many forms, and include multidisciplinary combinations of creative production, research projects, or pedagogical/methodological applications, the form and length of the final product may vary considerably based on each student's professional choices. The 60 credits work delivered must show a workload of a full year of study.

Regardless of form, a master project normally consists of a practical work accompanied by a written reflection between 16 000 - 40 000 words.
