Om Forskning Undervisning

Om

Victoria Husby holds a bachelor's degree in dance and pedagogy from the University of Stavanger (2010) and a Master of Arts in Dance from NTNU (Husby, 2017). She has extensive experience in the independent arts field as a dance artist and choreographer and has worked freelance with visual poetry. Victoria has also worked as a dance pedagogue in various educational contexts, including cultural schools, private dance studios, primary schools, secondary schools, and higher education. Currently, Victoria is a PhD candidate at the Department of Teacher Education, at the Faculty of Social and Educational Sciences at NTNU in Trondheim, Norway. Victoria Husby is particularly interested in exploring and creating spaces for hopeful changes in dance education, in higher education and moves within poetic and artistic methodologies as important components of her research project. Through performative and artistic approaches, she aims to explore and challenge the possibilities of creating spaces for belonging, dialogue, and change in higher education in dance.

Forskning

Tentative title for this ongoing doctoral project (2018-2025) is Sketching possible landscapes of hope: a performative inquiry of belonging, resistance and change in tertiary dance education. Through post-qualitative, poetic and artistic approaches, this thesis aims to explore and challenge the possibilities of creating spaces for belonging, dialogue, and change in higher education in dance.
