Silje Steinsbekk

Professor og spesialist i klinisk barne- og ungdomspsykologi, nestleder i studien Tidlig trygg i Trondheim (TtiT).
TtiT er en longitudinell studie av forekomst, forløp og risikofaktorer for utvikling av psykiske helseplager. Studien har også som mål å identifisere faktorer som fremmer god helseatferd (spisevaner, fysisk aktivitet, søvn) og psykososial utvikling (eks selvfølelse). TtiT startet i 2007 og 1250 barn født i 2003/2004 ble trukket ut til å delta. Data er samlet inn annethvert år siden barna var 4 år gamle, og inkluderer spørreskjemakartlegging, intervju, observasjoner og tester hvor både deltakere, deres foreldre og lærere er informanter. Deltakerne er ca. 22 år gamle og den tiende datainnsamlingsbølgen starter i januar -26. Målet er å følge deltakerne godt inn i voksenlivet.
Min forskning omhandler utvikling av helseatferd (spiseatferd, fysisk aktivitet, søvn/søvnvansker), psykisk helse og sosial mediebruk. Jeg leder to store forskningsprosjekt finanisert av NFR, hvorav et har som mål å identifisere prediktorer for helseatferd i overgangen fra barndom til ungdomstid og tidlig voksenalder; det andre har som mål å undersøke hvordan sosial mediebruk påvirker unges utvikling og mentale helse.
