Bakgrunn og aktiviteter
Doktor filosofi fra Samfunnsvetenskaplig fakultet, Lund universitet, Sverige i 2004. Var stipendiat ved Centrum för handikappforskning, Sociologiska institutionen, Uppsala universitet fra 1992-98. Jobbet som anvendt forsker ved forskningsinstitusjon og ved tidligere Høgskolen i Nord-Trøndelag -HINT (nå Nord universitet). Har vært hovedredaktør av internasjonalt OA tidsskrift via Taylor & Francis (vulnerable groups and inclusion). Har utbredt internasjonalt forskningsnettverk innen feltet funksjonshemming, rehabilitering og arbeidsliv, samt helse og marginaliserte grupper. Sittet i ulike kommisjonsvurdering nasjonalt og internasjonalt og vært ekstern styrerepresentant ved Mittuniversitet i Sverige.
