Bakgrunn og aktiviteter
Professor ved NTNU/IDI siden aug 2001 innen distribuerte systemer med fokus på databaser og søkemotorer. Tidligere ansatt i Clustra som utviklet høytilgjengelige, skalerbare sanntidsdatabaser. I årene 2007-14 jobbet jeg på SFIen iAD - information access disruptions, hvor Microsoft var senterleder. Her jobbet vi med neste generasjonsøkemotorer, hvor fokus hos oss ved NTNU var på skalerbare indekser og strukturerte queries. Forskningsfokus for tiden er håndtering av store mengder data (velocity).
Jeg er med i SFUen Excited i årene 2022-2026.
