Om Publikasjoner Undervisning Formidling

Om

Philip Ringrose er Professor II (CO2 lagring) på NTNU, Institutt for geovitenskap og petroleum, og spesialist i reservoar geologi i Equinor (Forskningssenter, Trondheim, Norway). Han er også forskningsleder ved Center for Geophysical Forecasting (WP2 om CO2 og gass/energilagring). Han har BSc og PhD i geologi fra universitetene i Edinburgh og Strathclyde, Skottland, Storbritannia. Han har publisert mye om reservoargeovitenskap og flyt i porøse medier og har nylig utgitt lærebøkene How to Store CO2 Underground og Reservoir Model Design (sammen med Mark Bentley). Han var sjefredaktør for tidsskriftet Petroleum Geoscience (2019–2021) og ble valgt som president for 2014–2015 for European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers (EAGE). I 2018 ble han utnevnt til æresprofessor (Sustainable Geoenergy) ved University of Edinburgh, School of Geosciences, Edinburgh, Storbritannia. Han er valgt inn som medlem av Det Kongelige Norske Videnskabers Selskab (DKNVS) og Norges Tekniske Vitenskapsakademi (NTVA).
