Jeg er instituttleder ved NTNUs Institutt for teknisk kybernetikk. Samtidig er jeg også assosiert forsker ved NTNUs SFF AMOS. I tillegg er jeg medlem av Teknologirådet og har vært medlem i ekspertgruppen for muliggjørende teknologi ifm. Digital21.

Forskning og veiledning
Jobber spesielt med forskning på ny teknologi for autonome skip. Leder for tiden prosjektet Autoferry som er en del av NTNUs Digital transformasjon-satsing.
