Bakgrunn
Jeg er førsteamanuensis i engelskdidaktikk ved Institutt for lærerutdanning (ILU), der jeg underviser i grunnutdanning og videreutdanning innen engelsk og fremmedspråk.
Jeg har tidligere arbeidet som engelsklærer ved offentlige skoler i Tyrkia. Jeg begynte min akademiske karriere ved Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart Üniversitesi, der jeg hadde ulike akademiske stillinger som stipendiat, førsteamanuensis og førsteamanuensis med opprykk fra 2006 til 2022. Jeg har en doktorgrad (Ed.D.) i TESOL fra University of Exeter og en mastergrad (M.A.) i engelsk språkdidaktikk fra Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart Üniversitesi. Jeg begynte ved NTNU i juli 2022.
Mine forskningsinteresser omfatter lærerutdanning for både fremtidige og yrkesaktive engelsklærere. Jeg er særlig interessert i lærernes kompetanse og mestringstro. I tillegg interesserer jeg meg for selvregulert språklæring, Extramural English og psykologiske faktorer som er relevante for undervisning og læring av engelsk som fremmedspråk.
