Bakgrunn og aktiviteter

Guomin Ji er førsteamanuensis i konstruksjonsteknikk ved Institutt for vareproduksjon og byggteknikk, Fakultet for ingeniørvitenskap, NTNU Gjøvik.

Han er forsker med bred bakgrunn innen sivil ingenering, olje og gass, havvind og fiskeoppdrett, spesialisert i bærekraftige og miljøvennlige konstruksjonsmaterialer, slanke strukturer til havs (stigerør og kraftkabel), avansert dynamisk analyse av strukturer (utmattelsesliv vurdering), kombinert optimaliseringsdesign og livssyklusanalyse, og numerisk simulering og digital tvilling av konstruksjon. Før han begynte i NTNU, var han senior forsker ved SINTEF Ocean, Norge. Guomin har en doktorgrad i konstruksjonsteknikk spesialisert i intergrity av massiv betongkonstruksjon (2008), og master i sivilingeniør (1997).
