Is Carbon Heteroatom Doping the Key to Active and Stable Carbon Supported Cobalt Fischer–Tropsch Catalysts?

Employing highly defined model catalysts and in situ characterization, we investigated the effect of N-, S-, and P-doping on carbon supported Co Fischer-Tropsch catalysts. Is heteroatom doping a good idea? ACS Catal. 2025, 15, 6673.

Composition effects of carbon surface oxide ensembles on activity and stability of carbon supported Co Fischer-Tropsch catalysts

In this study we investigated the introduction of carbon surface oxides to mitigate cobalt sintering, combining carbon model supports featuring various surface oxide profiles with size-defined Co nanoparticles. Appl. Catal., A, 2025, 694, 120165.

Controlled doping of carbon catalyst supports by atomic replacement via gasification-assisted heteroatom doping

In this study, we develop gasification-assisted heteroatom doping as a novel, broadly applicable post synthesis approach to exchange carbon surface atoms against heteroatoms while retaining the properties of the parental carbon. Carbon 2023, 207, 207.
