Jeg er postdoktor ved Institutt for helsevitenskap i Ålesund ved NTNU.
Mine forskningsinteresser omfatter hvordan hensyn til helseulikhet kan integreres i helsebeslutninger, samt bruk av forskningsbasert kunnskap i beslutningstaking og politikkutforming innen global helse. Arbeidet mitt inkluderer også undervisning på masterprogrammene i helseledelse og Human Response, samt støtte til koordineringen av det tverrfakultære forskningsgruppen Global Health Research Group. Siden august 2026 har jeg koordinert "Strategisk forskerkarriere"-initiative, et pilotprogram som støtter karriereutviklingen til forskere tidlig i karrieren ved NTNU i Ålesund. Jeg er også tilknyttet som forsker ved det nye WHO-samarbeidssenteret (WHO Collaborating Centre for policy making and qualitative evidence).
Jeg fullførte doktorgraden min i statsvitenskap ved Centre for Global Health Inequalities Research (CHAIN), NTNU, i september 2022. Doktoravhandlingen min omhandlet folkehelsetiltak, kontantoverføringer og helseulikheter blant barn i Global Sør.
Før jeg begynte ved NTNU, arbeidet jeg med forskning og påvirkningsarbeid knyttet til tilgang til medisiner, samt forebyggende helsearbeid for folkehelseorganisasjoner i flere europeiske land.
Forskning
Global Evidence - Local Adaptation (GELA)
GELA aims to maximise the impact of evidence for poverty-related diseases by increasing the capacity of decision makers and researchers to use global research to develop locally relevant guidelines for newborn and child health.
Cochrane People, Health Systems and Public Health
The People, Health Systems and Public Health Thematic Group conducts and supports evidence syntheses that address the complex issues that face health systems and public health around the world, by taking a person-centred approach.
WHO Collaborating Centre for policy making and qualitative evidence
The Collaborating Centre supports WHO’s development of global health guidelines and guides, focusing on the wider use of qualitative evidence in these products.
