Elodie Anne Suzanne Besnier

I am a postdoctoral fellow at the Department of Health Sciences in Ålesund, NTNU.
My research interests include interventions to reduce health inequalities and the use of evidence in health decision-making and policy in global health. My role also involves lecturing as part of the health management master program and supporting the coordination of the inter-faculty Global Health Research Group.
I completed my doctoral degree in political science at the Centre for Global Health Inequalities Research, NTNU in September 2022. My PhD research focused on public health interventions, cash transfers and health inequalities in children in low- and middle-income countries.
Prior to joining NTNU, my work has included research and advocacy work on access to medicines and on prevention for public health and health non-profit organizations across Europe.
