Bakgrunn og aktiviteter

Arbeidsområder

Arild Gustavsen er direktør for The Research Centre on Zero Emission Buildings (ZEB) og er professor i bygningsfysikk ved Institutt for byggekunst, historie og teknologi ved Norsk teknisk-naturvitenskapelige universitet (NTNU). Han er også task-leder i EU-prosjektet "Energy Efficiency for EU Historic Districts Sustainability" (EFFESUS - www.effesus.eu) og leder for prosjektet "Window Technologies for Energy Efficient Buildings", der Windows and Daylighting Group ved Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory er en av partnerne.
 

Kompetanse

Arild Gustavsen har en cand. scient.-grad i energi og miljøfysikk (fra 1996) og en dr. ing.-grad i bygningsfysikk (fra 2001). Han har jobbet som universitetslektor (2000-2001), førsteamanuensis (2001-2006) og professor (2007-) ved NTNU innen bygningsfysikk og energibruk i bygninger. Han har også jobbet som seniorforsker ved SINTEF Byggforsk og gjesteforsker ved Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (i 1999 og 2006). Faglige interesser er varme-, luft- og fukttransport i bygningskonstruksjoner, anvendelse av nye materialer og energibruk i nye og eksisterende bygg.
 

Om ZEB-senteret

The Research Centre on Zero Emission Buildings (www.zeb.no) er et senter for miljøvennlig energi (FME), finansiert av Norges forskningsråd og 25 partnere. Visjonen for senteret er å eliminere klimagassutslipp forårsaket av bygninger. Forskning utføres innen fem hovedområder: Avanserte materialteknologier, klimatilpassede og energieffektive bygningskonstruksjoner, energiforsyningssystemer og tekniske installasjoner, energieffektiv bruk og drift, og konsepter og strategier for nullutslippsbygg.
