Arbeidsområder

Arild Gustavsen er Instituttleder og professor i bygningsfysikk ved Institutt for arkitektur og teknologi ved Norsk teknisk-naturvitenskapelige universitet (NTNU).

Kompetanse

Arild Gustavsen har en cand. scient.-grad i energi og miljøfysikk (fra 1996) og en dr. ing.-grad i bygningsfysikk (fra 2001). Han har jobbet som universitetslektor (2000-2001), førsteamanuensis (2001-2006) og professor (2007-) ved NTNU innen bygningsfysikk og energibruk i bygninger. Han har også jobbet som seniorforsker ved SINTEF Byggforsk og gjesteforsker ved Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (i 1999 og 2006). Faglige interesser er varme-, luft- og fukttransport i bygningskonstruksjoner, anvendelse av nye materialer og energibruk i nye og eksisterende bygg og områder.

Om ZEN-senteret

The Research Centre on Zero Emission Neighbourhoods (ZEN) in Smart Cities er et senter for miljøvennlig energi (FME), finansiert av Norges forskningsråd og 35 partnere. Senteret skal bidra til lavutslippssamfunnet ved å utvikle bærekraftige områder med null utslipp av klimagasser. Senteret skal videre fremskynde dekarbonisering av bygningsmassen (eksisterende og ny), bruke mer fornybare energikilder og skape positive synergier mellom bygningsmasse, energi, IKT og mobilitetssystemer og brukerne.
