Artistic In-Depth Studies 1 and 2 form the main part of the performing Master's degree. The content depends on the chosen topic as it appears in the master agreement. The main part of the course is the student's individual work on their artistic project, obtaining a high level of artistry.
The student must in the start of the fall term submit a project description for the chosen in-depth-study., including working methods, concerts and progress plan.

Individual instruction supporting the artistic project.
Accompaniment for applicable instruments.
Masterforum and workshops.
Instruction is obligatory and demands minimum 80% attendance.
It is the student's responsibility, in cooperation with the teacher, to keep track of appointments of teaching and activity in the course.

Mer om vurdering
During the autumn semester, the student must perform a concert or similar production. This work must be documented via sound or video recording, deadline medio April.This documentation is the part denoted as "work" in the examination arrangement. The concert is assessed together with the final, practical, examination concert. The repertoire in the two concerts must as a general rule be different, but should have a clear link to the chosen in-depth study. If part the same repertoire is to be repeated, this must be agreed together with teaching supervisor, and a written justification must follow. If one of the assessment activities is failed, the student will have a new assessment in the part that was failed. The length of the practical exam is 45-60 minutes, depending on the student's musical instrument. All subtopics within the Master in performing music must be passed to get access to exam in this course.
