Sobah er førsteamanuensis ved Information Systems and Software Engineering gruppe, hos Institutt for informatikk. Forskningsfokus inkluderer smarte og bærekraftige byer, læring i og på tvers av byer og virksomhetsarkitektur og økosystemer. Hun har doktorgrad fra NTNU og en MSc fra University of Edinburgh (UK).
Sobah har bred erfaring innen tverrfaglig forskning gjennom internasjonale og nasjonale prosjekter; noen få eksempler er Accelerating Learning Through Technology / NFR; DESENT, SIMOLA, ProaSense, HUMAN, MIRROR, TARGET, GALA / EU. Hun har erfaring som prosjektleder.

Sobah deltar i eNoLL-arbeidsgruppen om mobilitet, evaluerer EU søknader som ERC-ekspert og er medlem av styringskomiteen for Institutt for psykologi, NTNU. Hun deltok nylig i en paneldiskusjon om NTNU og bærekraft.
