Morten Omholt Alver (1977) er førsteamanuensis ved Institutt for teknisk kybernetikk. Han tilhører forskningsgruppen for «Automation in fisheries and aquaculture». Alver er utdannet sivilingeniør og har en doktorgrad fra Institutt for teknisk kybernetikk, NTNU (2009).
