I am a lighting researcher / designer with a professional background as an architect. My primary interest is in the study of the effects of light on human perception and health, with a particular emphasis on daylight. Namely colour perception and non-visual effect of daylight in built environments due to different window glazing types. My doctoral research at NTNU, which I began in 2020, is focused on daylight visualization methods in architectural research.
In 2019, I started working at NTNU as a research assistant at the Light and Color Centre. I was working on the VELUX project, which was part of a collaboration project with EPFL university, to investigate "the impact of light and window size on the perceived quality of architecture" using Radiance and VR technology.
As a member of the IEA International Energy Agency SCH Task 61/A research team, which focused on "User perspectives and requirements.", my role included field measurements of light quantity, HDR photography, diaries, and questionnaires to investigate the integration of daylight and electrical light in primary schools and commercial building case studies in Trondheim, Norway.
