Personal history
The group of Prof Lindgren at NTNU has a long experience of research and technical development within chemical physics, spectroscopy, optical engineering and laser-based sensing. After totally 3 years as post-doc in Japan, Lindgren got a 50/50 position at the Swedish defence research agency (FOI) and Linköping University during 1995-2003, updating the lab with pulsed electron spin resonance and establishing a lab for laser nonlinear optics research at FOI. In 2003 Lindgren became Professor in physics (Applied Optics and Laser Physics) at NTNU-Dept. of Physics. The current research at NTNU is focused on laser based spectroscopy and spectroscopic imaging, applied on biomolecular and nanomaterial systems, as well as optical engineering and metrology.
