Politisk økonomi i utvikling, institusjoner, økonomisk geografi
Gina Arnesen Eckhoff

I investigated how sustainable circular economy strategies can be adopted in offshore wind sector, and adjacent industries with similar waste challenges. To do this, I mapped and structured 30+ organisations in the entire offshore wind value chain, and conducted 20 strategic discussions with senior stakeholders in global organisations, to identify key drivers and barriers and develop actionable strategies for accelerating sustainable and circular-economy adoption in the sector. I also developed a range of cross-industry, market and policy recommendations to accelerate circular economy strategy uptake in offshore wind and other major industries, including fisheries, aquaculture, solar PV, and the electric vehicle industry.

What happens when large corporations start investing in green energy startups—and what drives their decisions? My research examines how large European and US energy firms use corporate venture capital (CVC) to scale clean energy innovation, mapping their investment patterns and partnerships across regions and sectors.
