Business and Technology – From Silos to Synergy

The course seeks to apply technologies to optimize productivity, operational efficiency, and societal value.

The village encourages the developing of business models and marketing strategies in tandem with the implementation of new technologies in manufacturing. You will develop business models that reflect an understanding of the technologies involved and its implications for creating value for shareholders while at the same time responding to the long-term needs of society and the environment.

It's an interdisciplinary course where business students will learn about manufacturing and technology, whereas engineering students will learn how to integrate manufacturing and technology in a sustainable business model.

Within this overall theme, students will be invited to identify and solve concrete problems. Some topics and challenges related to both business and technology will be suggested to the students to inspire, facilitate and provide content to the project development phase. The manufacturing lab at IHB (“Manulab”) will be available to students throughout the project.
