Torunn Askim (1962) er professor i rehabilitering etter hjerneslag ved Institutt for nevromedisin og bevegelsesvitenskap (INB), Fakultet for medisin og helsevitenskap. Hun er enhetsleder for fagenheten geriatri, bevegelse og hjerneslag (GeMS) og nestleder for forskning ved INB.

  • Life After Stroke. A Norwegian long term follow-up project (LAST-long).

  • Nor-COAST (The Norwegian Cognitive impairments After Stroke Study): Norsk multisenter studies som har til hensikt å undersøke risikoen for kognitiv svikt etter hjerneslag.

  • LAST-studien: Norsk multisenter RCT som har til hensikt å undersøke effekten av regelmessig coaching for å opprettholde fysisk funksjon etter hjerneslag.

  • HIIT studien (High Intensity Interval Training after stroke): Nasjonal multisenter RCT som har til hensikt å undersøke effekten av høyintensiv trening som sekundærprofylakse etter hjerneslag
