A Techno-Economic Model for Benchmarking the Production Cost of Lithium-Ion Battery Cells
In this publication, a bottom-up techno-economic model is employed to systematically evaluate and compare the technological and economic facets of lithium-ion battery cells.
Historical and prospective lithium-ion battery cost trajectories from a bottom-up production modeling perspective
Study projects a 43.5%-52.5% cost reduction by the decade's end. Anticipated cost parity with internal combustion engine vehicles by the latter half of this decade hinges on a total installed capacity of 3500-4100 GWh.year−1 across giga-factories.
