Einar Rønquist har vært instituttleder for Institutt for matematiske fag siden august 2013. Han har vært professor ved samme institutt siden 1999. Han tilhører gruppe for differensiallikninger og numerisk analyse (DNA) og var gruppeleder for denne gruppen 2010–2011.
