Bakgrunn og aktiviteter
I am a PhD student at the Department of Materials Science and Engineering working in the FACET group.
I have a Master's degree within Material Science and Engineering with a specialization in Materials for Energy Technology. The title of my Master thesis was “Development of polymer-nanoparticle composite with high refractive index”.
Now I am working on understanding the nucleation and growth of piezo- and ferroelectric materials under hydrothermal conditions. Especially important is how the growth and self-assembly of nanoparticles can be controlled to produce nanorods and hierarchical nanostructures. For this purpose, I am using synchrotron facilities to investigate the reaction in situ with X-ray diffraction (see more at Materials Design through Green Chemistry).
