Om
Virus kan forårsake akutt og kronisk sykdom så som lungebetennelse og hepatitt. I denne prosessen klarer virus å unngå deler av immunsystemet og kan også direkte nedsette immunresponser og gi koinfeksjoner med bakterier og/eller flere virus. Vår forskning fokuserer på å oppnå forståelse av medfødte immunresponsers betydning ved virusinfeksjoner og studere interaksjonen mellom virus og menneske som er avgjørende for infeksjonens forløp og for utfallet av virusinfeksjoner.
