I am a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Combustion Kinetics Group working under the supervision of Prof. Corinna Schulze-Netzer.
The goal of my current work is to study the gasification of plastics in order to develop plastic recycling technology. My background is in applied mathematics, so I approach this topic through simulations and mathematical modeling. The long-term goal of this project is to be able to simulate the entire process of a solid plastic being placed in a combustion chamber to it being vaporized into its gaseous state, which can then be effectively recycled.
