Om

Jeg har doktorgrad innen molekylærmedisin og er ansatt ved Proteomics and Modomics Experimental Core facility (PROMEC), Institutt for klinisk og molekylær medisin, NTNU.

Mitt spesialfelt er RNA-epitranskriptomikk og DNA-epigenetikk som sammen regulerer genuttrykket og gjennom det de fleste cellulære prosesser. Mitt hovedmål er å bidra til økt kunnskap om hvordan feil i disse systemene forårsaker sykdom. Jeg har 20 års erfaring med analytiske teknikker som kromatografi og massespektrometri, og utvikling av metoder for å karakterisere kjemiske RNA- og DNA-modifikasjoner har stått sentralt i arbeidet mitt. I dag er disse metodene en del av PROMEC-repertoaret hvor de brukes av en rekke forskningsgrupper nasjonalt og internasjonalt.
