Ainur "Aina" Begim tok sin B.A. ved Bates College (USA) og sin M.Phil. og Ph.D. ved Yale University (USA). In 2017-2021 var hun postdoktor ved Universitetet i Oslo. I 2016-2017 var hun postdoktor ved Center for Russian and East European Studies ved Graduate School of Public and International Affairs, University of Pittsburgh (USA). Aina har arbeidserfaring som kredittanalytiker på Wall Street.
Faglige interesser: bærekraftig finans, ESG data, finansiell etikk; entreprenørskap; naturressurser og energy transitions; finansialisering og globalisering; økonomisk anthropologi og sosiale studier av økonomi og finans; Eurasia og Norge.
Aina leder Business Transitions to Sustainable Development is an interdisciplinary NTNU network, based in Ålesund, that brings together researchers and practitioners from business and finance, social sciences, natural sciences, and technology working on sustainability, ESG, and circular economy.
Aina er tilknyttet Center for Energy Ethics, University of St Andrews, Cultures of Finance Group og "Oikos" Working Group ved Institute for Public Knowledge (IPK), New York University og Center for Russian and East European Studies, University of Pittsburgh.
