Spatial Computing and Digital Fabrication
Spatial computing brings digital information into the spaces around us, while digital fabrication turns ideas into tangible objects. In this village, interdisciplinary teams will explore how 3D modelling, 3D printing, immersive projection, sensing and interactive media can be combined to create meaningful experiences and practical solutions. These technologies are reshaping education, culture, industry, health, design and public life, while raising questions about accessibility, sustainability, ethics and human experience. The theme is therefore ideal for collaboration across disciplines: successful projects require not only technical development, but also creative design, critical reflection, user understanding, communication and an awareness of real-world needs.
Relevant competency
Students from all academic backgrounds are welcome. The village benefits from a broad mix of perspectives, and no previous experience with 3D modelling, programming or fabrication is required.
