Prabhat Ranjan Bana

Prabhat is currently working toward his Ph.D. degree with a research focus on Advanced Control Design for Grid-Connected Converters in Renewable Energy Applications.
He has been actively involved in research for the last 5 years. His research mainly focused on designing multilevel inverters, AI-based advanced closed-loop control, and integrating renewable energy (PV) systems. He has authored/co-authored over 30 research papers.
During these years, he has supported/supervised several master’s students and collaborated with Ph.D. students and Professors from International Universities to design, control, and real-time testing power converters for research work.
Forskning
My research interests include Multilevel Inverters, Power Quality Control, AI-based Control Design, and Renewable Energy Integrations with advanced grid support functionality.
Currently, I am exploring the potential application of Artificial Neural networks (ANN) for grid-connected PV systems to:
(i) Extract maximum available power from the PV system irrespective of the shading condition
(ii) Seamlessly transfer the extracted power to the grid
(iii) Adaptively support the grid with active and reactive power
