I am a PhD candidate in Childhood Studies at NTNU. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Law and a Master’s degree in Childhood Studies. My research is grounded in Childhood Studies and explores the influence of media representations of war, conflict, and childhood on processes of identity negotiation. My broader research interests include identity, sense of place, and belonging, particularly in contexts of migration, conflict, and social change. I am also interested in decolonial theories and their potential to challenge dominant approaches to knowledge, childhood, identity, and belonging. I am currently a member of the Worldviews research group at the Department of Education and Lifelong Learning.
