Om
Ingvill Stuvøy er førsteamanuensis i sosiologi med reproduksjon, kjønn og ulikhet, teknologi, økonomi og biopolitikk som primære forskningsinteresser. Stuvøy har en doktorgrad i sosiologi fra NTNU og en bachelor- og mastergrad fra Københavns Universitet. I doktorgradsavhandlingen Parenthood at a price. Accounting for the viability of transnational surrogacy (2018) utforsket Stuvøy betydningen av penger i transnasjonal surrogati med utgangspunkt i nordmenns reiser til utlandet for å få barn ved hjelp av en surrogatmor. Etter doktorgradsarbeidet har Stuvøy vært særlig interessert i hvordan fallende fødselsrater og innvandring knyttes til velferdsstatens økonomiske og sosiale bærekraft i det politiske ordskiftet.
Stuvøy koordinerer for tida forskningsgruppa Kjønn og ulikhet på Institutt for sosiologi og statsvitenskap. Hun er også medlem i flere andre forskningsgrupper på NTNU, i tillegg til at hun er med i et nordisk nettverk for forskning på biopolitikk og reproduksjon.
Forskning
Jeg jobber for tiden med et forskningsprosjekt om innføringen av eggdonasjon i Norge og skal i gang med et forskningsprosjekt om alternative familiekonstellasjoner.
