Termoakustiske ustabiliteter i luftbaserte systtemer har vært hovedfokuset for min forskning, hvor jeg har undersøkt samspillet mellom akustikk, forbrenning, og strømningsfenomener. Termoakustiske ustabiliteter kan oppstå i en rekke reelle systemer, innkludert gassfyrte kjeler, jetmotorer til fly, og stasjonære gassturbiner som blir brukt til strømproduksjon. Jeg liker å kombinere eksperimenter, automasjon, og lav-ordens modellering for å studere forskjellige systemer i forskningen min.
