Jeg er en stipendiat ved institutt for materialteknologi, som startet med min oppgave høsten 2018. Mitt prosjekt går ut på å syntetisere og modifisere et to-dimensjonelt materiale, kalt MXene, til bruk som katodemateriale i oppladbare Mg batterier. Dette er en ny og spennende batteriteknologi som har en del potensielle fordeler overfor dagens Li-ionebatterier. Hvis dette MXene-materialet viser seg å være et lovende katodemateriale, åpner dette muligheten for bedre, sikrere og billigere batterier enn hva som finnes i dag.
