Om

Jeg var doktorgradsstipendiat ved Institutt for elkraktteknikk under veiledning av prof. Elisabetta Tedeschi og finansiert av prosjektet HES-OFF fra Norges forskningsråd.

HES-OFF utviklet et nytt konsept for stabil elkraft og varmeforsyning i offshore olje- og gassinstallasjoner, der vindkraft er kombinert med hydrogenenergilagring og CO2-utslipp kan reduseres med opptil 40%.

Mine interesser og bidrag til dette prosjektet ligger i:

  • Optimaliseringsprosedyrer for å dimensjonere og designe energilagringssystemet, med tanke på langvarige og kortsiktige energibehov til kraftsystemet
  • Kontrollstrategier for å garantere stabiliteten og effektkvaliteten i kraftsystemet
  • Validering av designforslag ved bruk av Power Hardware-in-the-Loop

Dessuten bidro jeg til IMAGINE, et prosjekt finansiert av Horizon 2020-programmet fra EU. Dette prosjektet utviklet og demonstrerert et innovativt kraftuttak-konsept for bølgeenergi-applikasjoner.

Mine interesser og bidrag til dette prosjektet ligget i:

  • Optimaliseringsprosedyreren for å maksimere energiutbyttet til en gitt bølgeenergikonverterer, med tanke på en modulær PTO-tilnærming og påvirkningen fra forskjellige kontrollstrategier
  • Designvalideringen av den foreslåtte kraftuttaket ved bruk av Power Hardware-in-the-Loop

Forskning

Mitt hovedforskningsfokus er integrering av kraftsystemstabilitet og kontrollkontraints i teknoøkonomiske optimaliseringsprosedyrer, slik som unit commitment, economic dispatch, og kraftsystemplanlegging og utvidelse.

Mer generelt inkluderer mine interesser også optimal og modellprediktiv kontroll, energilagringssystemer, AC-mikronett, kraftelektronikk for fornybare og distribuerte kraftsystemer, elektriske maskiner, magnetiseringsystemer, og tilstandsovervåking.
