Astrid Bjørkøy

Fagfelt / Arbeidsområde
Jeg er en allsidig og entusiastisk biofysiker med ansvar for kjernefasiliteten Center for Advanced Microscopy (CAM: https://www.ntnu.edu/nv/cam) ved NV-fakultetet, hvor jeg lærer opp og bistår studenter og forskere som studerer mange ulike prøver, biologiske og uorganiske. Vi tar i bruk både kommersielle og selvbygde mikroskop og instrumenter, avhengig av formål og ønsker. I min karriere har jeg opparbeidet meg mye erfaring og kompetanse på instrumentering, optikk, ulike mikroskopteknikker og programmering (Matlab, LabVIEW, C++, mm), både som forsker og som senioringeniør. Brukerne ved CAM får all min støtte og bistand, samt tilgang på det beste utstyret, slik at forskningen holder høyt nivå i alle faser: fra forsøksplanlegging til prøvepreparering, valg av metoder, analyse og presentasjon av data.
