We build with materials that will outlive us, rarely asking what that durability truly means. Our surroundings are filled with elements that require no care or maintenance, yet this often makes recycling and reuse difficult.

As our lives, rhythms, and needs evolve, so too should the spaces we inhabit. What if we began building with materials that support this flexibility—without contributing to landfills? And how might these materials affect us?

In this project, I explore building with biodegradable materials through the lens of a kindergarten case study.
