Damian Brzozowski

Ph.d.-kandidat i forskningsgruppen for funksjonelle materialer og materialkjemi (FACET) ved Institutt for materialteknologi, NTNU. Damians forskning omfatter fremstilling av magnetiske oksid/topologisk isolator tynnfilm-heterostrukturer ved pulserende laserdeponering, samt undersøkelser av de fremvoksende magnetiske egenskapene i systemet.
Hovedeksperimentelle teknikker:
- pulset laserdeponering (PLD)
- røntgendiffraksjon (XRD) og reflektivitet (XRR)
- røntgenmagnetisk sirkulær/lineær dikroisme (XMCD/XMLD)
- polarisert nøytronreflektometri (PNR)
Arbeidet veiledes av førsteamanuensis Ingrid Hallsteinsen og professor Dennis Meier.
Damian tok sin mastergrad i nanoteknologi ved det Tekniske Universitetet i Gdańsk, Polen. Masterprosjektet fokuserte på å optimalisere syntesen og karakterisere de fysiske egenskapene til nikkelbaserte Heusler-forbindelser som inneholder litium.
Overingeniør for XRD-laboratoriet fra mai til september 2022.
Tekniskansvar for PLD-laboratoriet siden august 2024.
