Om

Jeg arbeider i skjæringspunktet mellom prosessteknikk, optimalisering, maskinlæring og regulering, med et sterkt fokus på anvendelser innen den kjemiske prosessindustrien.

Mine forskningsaktiviteter omfatter blant annet følgende temaer:

  • Prosessteknikk og optimalisering av kontinuerlige og batch-prosesser;

  • Multiobjektiv og robust optimalisering, med vekt på å kartlegge mulige driftsområder og støtte beslutningstaking i industrielle systemer;

  • Vitenskapelig maskinlæring og hybride modeller (fenomenologiske modeller kombinert med kunstig intelligens) for ulike prosesser;

  • Utvikling av digitale tvillinger og cyber-fysiske systemer med online læring, usikkerhetsvurdering og autonome beslutningskapasiteter;

  • Anvendelse av dyp læring, grafnevrale nettverk og transfer learning på ikke-konvensjonelle problemstillinger som duftdesign, oppdagelse av molekyler og prediksjon av fysikalsk-kjemiske egenskaper;

  • Bruk av utvidet virkelighet i kjemiteknisk utdanning og i bredere sammenhenger knyttet til digital transformasjon og prosessvisualisering.

Disse temaene er tett knyttet til visjonen om Industri 5.0, der avanserte digitale teknologier kombineres med menneskelig ekspertise for å skape mer robuste, intelligente og effektive systemer.
