Jeg har bakgrunn fra fysioterapi og tok doktorgraden min ved Institutt for fysioterapi ved Macquarie University i Sydney (Australia). Min forskningsinteresse er å forbedre behandlingen av muskel- og skjelettsmerter. Min forskningserfaring spenner fra laboratoriearbeid innen smertevurdering (under ph.d), kliniske studier, systematiske oversikter og, mer nylig, epidemiologiske studier.
Jeg har for tiden en postdoktorstilling der jeg arbeider med et prosjekt finansiert av DAM-stiftelsen. I dette prosjektet bruker jeg nasjonale helseregisterdata koblet med data fra HUNT-studien for å utforske hvordan multimorbiditet og familiefaktorer påvirker viktige utfall knyttet til behandling av muskel- og skjelettsmerter, som sykefravær, bruk av spesialisert helsehjelp og forskrivning av opioider.
