Research project

Currently I am research fellow for the project Inside out. New Images and Imaginations of the Body, led by Prof. Merete Lie. The aim of this project is to explore how the process of production and reproduction of cell images may lead to new interpretations of the human body, of gender difference (and reproduction), and to increasing the importance of visualization in general. My postoctoral research will focus on how new visualization technologies are applied in the production of images on the level of cells and how new knowledge of the interior of the body is produced and reproduced. The research will follow the "imaging" process from the laboratories to medical practices, in order to explore the process of imagine interpretation among scientists, practitioners, and non-professionals.
