FP2 Market Design Development
FP2 will assess developments in how power is traded in sequential markets: Day-ahead, intraday and balancing markets; including changes in price areas and congestion management, intraday auctions, and European balancing platforms.
The project will map possible changes in long term physical and financial markets, capacity mechanisms, hedging opportunities, and support schemes for renewable generation and electricity consumers.
Also; Investigate changes in market design that can support flexibility and robustness of the power system.
