Konferansens tema dreier seg om kulturskolens mange samarbeidskonstellasjoner

Kulturskolen samarbeider på utallige måter med ulike partnere i sine omgivelser. Blant annet samarbeider kulturskolen med andre utdanningsinstitusjoner, med det frivillige og profesjonelle kulturlivet, med kulturinstitusjoner som kirker, museer og biblioteker, med offentlige etater som NAV, helse- og omsorgsektor og flyktningetjenester, med statlige ordninger som DKS og UKM og med lokalt næringsliv.
 
På konferansen i 2024 markeres avslutning og videreføring av både Universitetskulturskoleprosjektet (UniKuP) og Outmus-prosjektet. UniKup har involvert Trondheim kulturskole sammen med NTNU, Institutt for lærerutdanning og Institutt for musikk, mens Outmus har involvert deltakere fra Nord Universitet, NTNU og UIA sammen med kulturskolene i Levanger, Kristiansand og Trondheim og deres samarbeidsgrunnskoler. Begge prosjektene dreier seg i stor grad om kulturskolens samarbeidskonstellasjoner. For Outmus står samarbeid med grunnskolen i sentrum, mens i UniKuP er en av tre arbeidspakker rettet spesifikt mot kulturskolens grunnskolesamarbeid. UniKuP fokuserer også på samarbeid med UH-sektor og andre offentlige og frivillige virksomheter. 

At konferansen sentreres inn mot slike samarbeid, reflekteres i konferansetemaets spissformulering «Cutting edge or cutting corners». Med dette peker vi mot kulturskolens samarbeidskonstellasjoner som potensielt banebrytende samtidig som de kan medføre fare for at ideer, løsninger og strategier blir for enkle i møte med virkeligheten. Konferansen favner alle former for kulturskolesamarbeid, kulturskolerelatert arbeid og forskning. Vi inviterer til å sende inn abstracts.

The research conference Cutting Edge 2024 will be held at NTNU, Department of Teacher Education, Campus Kalvskinnet, in Trondheim, 21 and 22 October 2024.

Deadline for abstracts is extended to 22 Mars.

Conference participants have the opportunity to adjust their conference presentation and get published as peer-reviewed research in JASEd.

The conference theme highlights the kulturskole’s many collaboration constellations

The kulturskole collaborates in countless ways with various partners in its surroundings. Among other things, the kulturskole collaborates with other educational institutions, with voluntary and professional cultural life, with cultural institutions such as churches, museums and libraries, with public agencies such as NAV, the health and care sector and refugee services, with arrangements such as DKS and UKM and with local businesses.

The conference in 2024 marks the end and continuation of both the University Kulturskole Project (UniKuP) and the Outmus project. UniKup has involved Trondheim kulturskole together with NTNU, the Department of Teacher Education and the Department of Music, while Outmus has involved participants from Nord University, NTNU and UIA together with the kulturskole in Levanger, Kristiansand and Trondheim and their cooperative primary schools. Both projects largely revolve around the kulturskole’s collaborative constellations. For Outmus, collaboration with the primary school is at the centre, while in UniKuP one of three work packages is aimed specifically at the kulturskole’s primary school collaboration. UniKuP also focuses on collaborations with the sector of higher education and other public and voluntary organisations. 

That the conference is centered on such collaborations is reflected in the conference theme's key wording "Cutting edge or cutting corners". With this, we point to the kulturskole’s collaborations as potentially ground-breaking, while at the same time they can entail the risk that ideas, solutions and strategies become too simple in the face of reality. The conference embraces all forms of kulturskole collaborations, kulturskole-related work and research. We invite you to submit abstracts.

Nordic network for kulturskole-related research

The Nordic network for kulturskole-related research aims to strengthen collaboration on research between different subjects, vocational and educational fields and research environments that in various ways touch the kulturskole.
