Changes to the library’s journal- and database subscriptions

Rising costs and a limited literature budget force cuts in the University Library’s subscriptions. Some journals are canceled, but we are pleased to report that we can offer continued access to databases previously covered by the Norwegian Health Library for employees at NTNU and St. Olav’s hospital.

Discontinuations

Through dialogue with the Vice Dean for Research and the institute leaders at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, it has been decided to down-prioritize certain resources due to moderate use.

The following journals are discontinued from January 1, 2021:

Continued access to BMJ, JAMA and Annals of Internal Medicine

In spite of budget cuts, The University Library ensures continued access to tthe journal packages BMJ and JAMA , as well as the journal Annals of Internal Medicine (including ACP Journal Club).

Helsebiblioteket will no longer be able to offer national access to these resources due to increased costs, currency fluctuations and budget cuts. Read more at Helsebiblioteket.no.

We hope to avoid interruptions in the access, but email us on tilgang@ub.ntnu.no if you experience difficulties.
